Isabel got her first bath today



and you can just see how happy she is about it

now normally I leave their hygiene up to them
but if they start stinking or get filthy
they get a bath

In the four years I have owned carlisle
[yes I own him, he is my property]
[also known as my cat]

he has gotten two baths
for cleanliness reasons
and one of those wasnt his fault

After the first bath
well actually it was a shower
as I had him take a shower with me

he has done a damn fine job
keeping himself clean and fresh smelling

in fact
I only think I've had to warn him once
and
he took right good care of it

hopefully Isabel will follow in his footsteps

I use cat wipes for my cats. They're along the lines of those ArmorAll wipes you can get for the car. Work well, and I don't have to worry about what I'm going to replace the skin on my arms with.

As you probrably suspected I'm a pretty straight forward pacifist, I'm also a humanist, and really don't revel in the suffering of other living creatures.

Except for cats.

Now it isn't as though I'll torture them (all though I'm not averse to giving them a swift kick if they don't take the hint of gentle nudges with my feet that I have utterly no interest in touching them, or they touching me), or that I'll kill them if I see them, I just like to see them miserable.

I think it's because I've anthopomorphized thier personalities into something that is as close to evil as I can imagine. They are haughty (even to those that love them, and they love). They aren't above torture for pleasure. They revel in the totems of the dead.

So all I've got to say is, "more pictures like this please"

She's a beauty.. and everyone needs a little help cleaning up at times. ;)

I had a cat that used to ENJOY taking showers with you.. she'd climb down off the top of the sliding glass door onto your shoulder when you least anticipated (and were likely lathering your hair or some such) and expect you to hold her under the warm water.. She would politely demand the water be even warmer. ;)

that's a really really cute cat. i love her color. silver-ish. i'll bet she was mad at you after you gave her that bath! one of my cats hiss at me. actually, the one in my icon. she's a sweetie for the most part though :)
