Whoever wins we lose 2004
Sep. 6th, 2004 03:25 pmso
the more I research the candidates
and pay attention to election coverage
in the hope of making an educated and good decision
about who I am going to vote for
the more disgusted
I become with both candidates
so
I've decided
to honor our capitalist system
by allowing the free market to decide
who I vote for this November
yep that's right
my vote is up for sale
offers may be submitted until Sept 27th, 2004
and may be enumerated in either
legal tender or barter of goods and services
evaluation of all bids is solely at my discretion
payment must be received before I exercise my right to vote
for your candidate of choice on Oct 27th, 2004
verification that my vote was placed for candidate of your choice
will be provided on that date.
This will be a blind balloting process so all bids will remain screened
Any Questions?

Stepping in here...
Date: 2004-09-07 08:28 am (UTC)Here's the only thing my sorry republican registered democratic voting self can come up with: We've always known that Shrub isn't smart enough to rub two nickels together. He is artfully managed by the private interests that hold him.. and while I am not stupid enough to say Kerry isn't owned by any he may, I have hope, at least not be owned by the same ones. We break up the seat of power on a group of individuals who say things like suspending the presidential election is a good thing...
That doesn't decided anything for me really it just makes me wonder what decides it for me is access to abortion. I will likely never be in a positions to need one. I've a good repoire with my doctor, safe sexual practices, a supportive family.. Working with the meth-baby population and knowing that many of those woman would have gladly had an abortion if there had been any less stigma and just a little more access there would not now be this drain on our resources. Several states now see women having to cross as many as three state lines before they can get the procedure performed.. Now neither of you, reasonably well off males, will probably never have to worry about this.. or if your partner is, worry about being able to relocate to where an appropriate physician can be found, but as a socail issue this is enough of a difference to decide my vote.
