You're missing the seasonal reference necessary to make it a haiku. You've got a senryu there.
sen·ryu : a 3-line unrhymed Japanese poem structurally similar to haiku but treating human nature usually in an ironic or satiric vein

Ack! My fault actually. He asked me what the pattern was, and as I loathed freshman English class (the teacher was a horny pervert), and that was the year we studied poetry heavily, I forgot that detail.
