It used to annoy me a lot. Then I learned to speak postmodern academic and break them apart in their own language and was amused by it. I have some stories from NYU that are both terrifying and/or amusing depending on one's take.
As I head back into academia I need to be really really wary of it. In logic and historical fact I trust however.
for me it cheap amusement [as I dont have cable television]
especially since the arguments they throw themselves against, while logically sound in the careful way I phrase them are easily circumvented if one could just calm down enough to think clearly and logically about them.
as this fellow unlike more, did eventually discover, but only after sixteen blathering attempts.
