Anyone can pass a test... But it is quite telling that while claiming to have a superior grasp of knowledge, he fails even to understand what a basic ad hominem is... tsk tsk.
in fact my test taking skill have always vastly outstripped my algrebra skill, but some would have you believe that my score on both the SATs and PSATs indicated a high level of functionality with Algebra.
Meh...show me where I claimed to have a superior grasp on knowledge.
"making assertions without supporting them does imply a diminished intellectual capacity"
Was I incorrect in seeing this as a sort of attack within a comment which put forth no other argument?
Besides, the worst you can say is that I applied the concept badly. plural claimed that I used an ad hominem in defense of myself, despite "ad hominem" translating to "against the man," and being defined as an attempt to discredit another person in lieu of putting forth an argument...you've not mentioned that.
hahaha...so plural's the only one who can say things he doesn't mean in order to draw people out? I even said later that I was bored and wanted to see reactions to that (in fact, the entire argument ended up being focused on that rather than the "discrimination" bit), but nobody seems to have picked up on that.
I still don't think anyone showed that a person can do that without at least understanding logic, they just said I was stupid without showing why.

Date: 2004-07-24 03:48 pm (UTC)and I scored a 1400 on my PSATs without knowing algebra
but it is neither relevant nor meaningful
[even if it is true]

and the latter part I found most humourous
