you are still hitting the ground a lot faster than is comfortable
way I figger it
atleast in a heli you get to die in an impressive ball of flame as opposed to gliding into some remote forest where you wont be found and surviving the wreck only to be pinned in your seat with broken legs and nibbled on by carrion birds and field mice
