General Mismash

First of all I would like to clear up any possible misunderstandings.

I am not a good person.

I have never been a particularly good human being.

I generally dont have nor agree with the morals of the general public.

I have a few ethics, which are severe in their actions and judgements. To those I am always faithful.

What are my ethics?

Loyalty is my highest ethos. I expect completely loyalty from all whom surround me, and I deal harshly with those who are unloyal. Of course I return that loyalty in spades.

I have never had an affair, slept with a friend's girlfriend, In fact, I have never done anything on purpose which I knew in advance would hurt a friend.

However, if I dont know you, I care more about a stray cat on the street than I do about your life.

There are something I cant tolerate, abusing women, children, animals and the otherwise defenseless.

you know what, I dont really feeling like writing anymore, think I will go watch "The princess bride" have a great weekend all, and dream of delightful things.

To our Italian Diva, (at least for the weekend anyway) I hope your trip is going well.

It was interesting to see "women" included in the category of animals, children and the "otherwise defenseless"

I was actually surprised to see that go as long as it did without comment.

While I am a man of perhaps old fashioned values,

The simple fact of it is,

I do not view women as truly defenseless,

Where as I do so view, children, many animals, and the elderly for example.

The comment was more focused on what I cannot abide,

I am unfortunately of a great passion in these matters,

and no personal slight can raise within me,
the anger and violence which appears
the instant I see a man physically mistreating a woman.

As I am sure the question will arise,
in these most liberated times,
why do I say a man only?

what about a woman mistreating another women?
quite frankly,
I dislike it greatly,

But I am incapable of raising my hand to a woman,

(of course the idea of getting between two women in a fight is a terrifing one as well)

I have never done so, nor will ever do so.

I generally practice
and outdated mode of behavior

For example,

I believe in opening a door for a woman

Even those who are my friends
never touch a door in my company

it is not that I think women incapable of opening doors for themselves

but that they should never have the need.

I think it was just oddly worded, perhaps. I do know what you meant. Should have mentioned that your chivalrous stance is much appreciated. ( the old fashioned manners are something I also appreciate) If you truly live your life that way- then I would be pleased to know you.

The post in question. was primarily designed to share a few of my many faults,
dallying further into chivalry
would most likely have strayed too far
from the intended path.

I am a man
not a particularly good one at that
but I have impeccable tastes and manners

To simply distill my goals in my life
or more accurately the goals to which I strive
to become as a man
are three

A loving husband
A doting father
A consummate host
