A delightful dinner
mmm
last night I had
the particular pleasure of
entertaining Savonarola and his wife Logos
The Menu
Sun-dried Tomato Tapenade served on Crostini
Citrus Arugala and Mint Salad
Antipasto Bowl with Artichoke hearts, Fresh Mozzarella, Asparagus and other yummies
Fresh Marinara served over linguine
Sour Cream Apple Pie with Vanilla frozen yogurt
The Liquor
While cooking Amber and I drank designer mimosas with
fresh squeezed Grapefruit, Tangerine, Orange juice
Cocktails in the kitchen
Jim and I partook of a delicious Suntori Scotch which Jim brought
Hairy Navel for Tamara
and quite possibly a drink of my own invention
for Amber, the Washington Mimosa
Martenelli's sparking cider and peach schnapps
served in a champagne flute
very tasty
with dinner
we served a 1998 Chateau Reynella Chardonnay
which happens to be one of my favorites
(and at 9 bux a bottle is an incredible steal)
with dessert we served coffee
and Jim showed me some neat tricks
to enhance French press coffee
very neat
and cracked a bottle of Garnacha
which they bought which was
delicious
after dessert,
we brought out the treats
1981 Maccallan for Jim
to accompany a spicy cuban
while the rest of us
partook of an aromatic herb
and we all relaxed
mmm
we will have to do
this again
