Soccer

[plural]

Greetings, I was wondering if anyone knew of any soccer field with pickup games or rec leagues in Portland. I live close in on belmont st so something nearby would be best but really I'm just looking for a place to play fairly regularly. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Interesting, so yesterday, I meant to post this to a Portland Comm, but apparently I'd set my client to a custom security setting so it bounced back saying that wasn't allowed. I corrected the security settings and reposted it, not realizing that it had also reset to post in my journal as opposed to the portland comm. oops.

I wish I knew. The only people I know of who play sports in that area play rugby league or rugby union, or they're the off-road kind [not that that's really a sport, but you know].

Maybe try your local YMCA, see if they have any info?

If you were in Sydney, I could help, as a lot of my ex-workmates play soccer [they're Brits], but in P-town, I'm not sure.
