so the past couple of hours
I've been experiencing this wierd thing

sometimes I will lose the ability
to right click on links
in internet explorer

then without any reason
it will come back

so I got annoyed
and decided to check it out

it turns out
that when minimized
[but not when in the background]
my ancient ass LJ client
[beta version 1.4.6]
breaks right click

now because someone is going to ask
why I'm using that ancient ass pos client
and well
because it has all the features I want
none of the crap I dont
and takes up no system resources

and until today
just fookin worked

I'll just have to load up
my debugger and symbols
and see if I cant comment out
whatever code is hoarking my vista

You you can just find out WTF those clowns at the evil empire were thinking when they broke your software, and have them fix it.

lemming.

If the program worked on the same machine pre-vista, and it doesn't work on the same machine post-vista IT'S VISTAs fault the program doesn't run. You'd take the same point of view if something worked pre-driveinstall and post-driverinstall... why not now?

MS 'broke' your software dude, through negligence. I'd sue.

I'll have to go over the building 7
and kick the crap out of the guy
who makes sure that MS is compliant
with other peoples 7 year old Beta software

seems reasonable to me... if they are going to charge for something at least it should do no harm.

harm in this case is presumed to be in aggregate, so yes, I'd have to agree with you.

very nice.

What'll one of those set you back? I'm still diggin myth. Given I can only do one thing at a time, I'll be getting back to the myth server/frontend after the drywall is up in the basement (if all goes well, another couple of weeks).

I'm thinking in the 10-20k range
they wont give ya any pricing info
and at least the dealers that they list seattle
tend to be the specialized high end boys

it is pretty but also very limited because of the CSS license
not ideal but definitely has a pretty UI
which is something to think about.

You know...

I wonder if there could be a market for making these things for use in hotels... You know 'on demand' porn, or other movies. What I found intriguing was that you could have up to 20 streams... That's about what I could do running my gigabit (I can get sustained 56MB/s, and DVDs consume about 3MB/s).
