one is successfully

sure some of that is a function of population

but

Suicide is the leading cause of death between those 20-35

thats just fucked up

this is only going to get worse

decades of the one-child policy + socio-cultural preferences for male children

--> too many males without mates --> social unrest, suicide

there already is a sizable number of chinese men who, failing all else, buy their wives from north korea

Of course from what little I saw, the socio-cultural preferences still undervalue their women, even if viewed strictly as a breeding commodity, which is a whole other can of worms

Whoa that's crazy.. but I'm a bit confused.. how do 11 fail? I though they were good at everything.. ok seriously its no laughing matter, but 11 people fail seams a bit high..

I'm not sure if that is a high, low or normal attempts vs success rate, I suppose we'd have to look at our own statistics and compare.

I've no idea what ours are, but I wouldnt be surprised if the attempts vs success rate was even higher here, because we have more of a "cry for help" suicide culture than they do.

China, as a general culture, does not place the same value on human life which we do, which means that there isnt the same degree socio-emotional attention mongering which occurs here.

Or so I'm thinking, could be way off base of course
