wow - ugg - one of the two anyway

what a crappy week
well that's not completely true
just an exhausting one

I made absolutely no progress
on my superdupertopsecret lil project
which sucks
but I'm hoping this coming week will be better

my father spent most of this week
in the hospital
which meant besides driving an hour and a half
[each way, each day]
to visit and tend to him
I got to field calls from everyone in my family
about how he was doing
and a few other subjects

luckily he is fine now
and was released last night

he had a high (103.5) fever
for a few days
and apparently his white blood cell count was low
so they wanted to keep him for observation, tests, etc

in other better but at the same time odd news
my suit arrived in the us on friday
however it was shipped to seattle
instead of DC
which would be nothing meriting a mention
cept I can't for the life of me recall how my tailor got my accountants address
I thought maybe it was the billing address for my credit card
but the card I used for it
uses this house up here as the billing address
so I'm stumped

anyway its good to know it has arrived
now I just gotta decide if I want it ship here or to DC
I suppose it will depend on whether I feel like
waiting until august to wear it
of course
the shoes I got to wear with it
are in DC
so there'd make the most sense
but
I'm not entire sure
making sense is entirely what I'm in the mood for.

I think I'm going to go sleep for a day or so
then get really drunk

it wont help much
but
I dont mind

Actually, I can imagine them NOT sending the suit anywhere but the billing address of the credit card. Lowers their liability (and maybe a slight giveback from visa/mastercard) if your card has been stolen.

In case you didn't get the memo we won't be moving until Sunday.

Also, I don't think I posted this to my journal, but the 1TB RAID went down. Those peculiar IRQ9 errors? Failing HD. Why? I'm convinced (though cannot prove) that day the moron home inspectors left the heat on full-tilt-boogie smoked the power supply. Everything I've read suggests that there is an extremely good chance to recover data in which two drives have TEMPORARILY been screwed... I'm just acting REALLY slowly (and not having an internet connection doesn't help matters) to make sure I don't fuck it up as I of course have no backups of say... Oliver's baby pictures.

lordy, its a good thing yall dont plan on moving ever again cause, this ones been enough stress for a lifetime.

ouch, yeah raid failures give me literal nightmares, and yep take it very very slow, I've lost the data on my raid before by being a dumbass and just zipping through it.
