Zee obligatory dvd collection update
Apr. 27th, 2005 01:42 pmI like movies
quite a bit
this leads me to compulsively buy dvds
and I'm starting to get a pretty darn respectable collection
enough that a while back I got some neat software to manage it all
not that I keep it remotely updated as I should
but still its neat stuff
It lets me search by nearly any field I could desire
and even runs little reports that for example
tell me that my collection has 101 drama flicks
or that Warner Bros, is by far the dominant studio
pretty much it does everything my little heart could desire
recently [as in the past couple of months] I've acquired the following flicks:
2 days in the valley
Along Came a Spider
American Pie 2 (sucked but I have the other two)
Bandits
Bend it like Beckham
The Breakfast Club
Bringing Down the House
The Brothers McMullen
Bull Durham
Catch Me if You Can
The Cooler
Desperado
Double Jeopardy
Ferris Buellers Day Off
A Fish called Wanda
Grosse Pointe Blank
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Heist
Insomnia
Italian Job
Kate & Leopald
Knockaround Guys
The Last of the Mohicans
The Last Samurai
Leap of Faith
Matchstick Men
Mystic River
Paycheck
Reservoir Dogs
Planet of the Apes (remake)
Red Dragon
Red Rock West
Roman Holiday
Run Lola Run
Say Anything
Serendipity
Serpico
Singles
The Stepford Wives (original)
The Story of Us
The Time Machines (remake)
The Weight of Water
We were Soldiers
What Women Want
What's Eating Gilbert Grape
Wing Commander
Witness
a few of these were repurchases as my prior copys had magically disappeared along with my copies of:
Big Daddy
Chasing Amy
Murder at 1600
Suicide Kings
you know I think nasty sticky fingered hobbits
wouldnt be nearly as a bad if they had universally bad taste
Big Daddy and Murder at 1600 for example
not great movies but I enjoyed them
but Suicide Kings and Chasing Amy
I am pissed about
fucking bastiches
anyway
you can see the entirity of my dvd collection
