Yes, but I don't call the Appalachians in North Carolina decent skiing. Might be decent in West Virginia (showshoe), but I'm a long, long way from anything outwest or on the North East.
well the slopes up where I am are pretty small but they have some interesting terrain (especially if you go off into the woods) and pretty good snow so I enjoy it.
besides what other choice do I have
its either ski and love or suffocate under the snow
Small isn't bad, they can be less crowded because people sometimes get caught up in wanting lots of runs and long runs, but that tends to draw large crowds... people gettin' in the way, etc.
Interesting terrain can be much more fun. Maybe next season I'll be able to get back out west or somewhere nifty.

all small with one or two lifts
but being ski patrol I can ski free at all of em
so I plan to spread the love around
