I work on capital hill and my office is right across the street from the train station.

The worst that could happen is some crazy street person could yell obscenities at me.

I suppose you could say there's that whole 'terrorist' thing, but the reality is we only play that up for folks in the fly over states to drum up tourism.

I haven't been to DC yet...only Balitmore. So of course I link both cities together and judge them the same.

All I know of Baltimore I learned from John Waters, 70's mythology and what I've seen when I go to the inner harbor. I'm guessing the latter being of personal experience and the most recent is the best barameter...

Having said that, I've never had a bad experience in Baltimore... but then again I usually go to the national aquarium or port discovery with my three year old.

Ha ha. That's all I've ever done in Baltimore either. The Inner Harbor. I'm assuming there's more to the city than that, but I haven't been there.

I actually like B-more a lot. I have several friends that live there, and heck, my novel is set there, so I better like it.
