The second day

a night of intense
adrenaline filled dreams
left me
exhausted
today went slowly
achingly slow
I met a friend for dinner

chicken pakoras
mint chutney
tandori chicken
jasmine rice
naan
chicken korma
hot and spicy
delicious

we took a long walk
down the boulevard
to settle bulging stomachs
and stopped in for a drink

bourbon with
a splash of coke
