simple joys

[plural]

laying on the floor
in front of the fire
with my two cats

clipping my fingernails
they were way overdue
and even though
I am not talented with
fingernail clippers
it does feel very nice
to have them
trimmed

i want to have a fireplace in my house, if just one thing i have a choice in. i want a fireplace. i've never had a pet, i want to get some when i can.

i love our fireplaces.
i turn them all on.
and open all the windows even when it raining and bleeding leaves.
my cats hate it and hide behind the curtains.
i can breathe then.
