had to be put down this past week

Very nice! You should tell anyone else viewing these, to push themselves an arms length away from the keyboard. Well at least to me they look better from a certain distance.

I'm the first to admit I know nothing of photography... But these are without a doubt the best pictures I've ever seen you post.

BTW, Ulysses was born on Monday.

Oh that poor baby! :( Putting down horses, especially so young, is quite sad.

I have gotten into more than one argument with my brother about euthanasia, particularly about horses. He says it's cruel, I told him it was, but sometimes necessary. He seems to think amputation would be better. Or try to let them recover. I told him they kick out, fighting the restraint of a cast (I mean, c'mon you can't say to them, "Hey, pony, you can't move okay? Thanks)

Of course, he doesn't really know about horses. And he's opinionated to the point of ignoring the other side at times.

Lovely pictures, by the way.

I just noticed that I'm the only one who mentioned the foal in a comment. Hmm...

I'm sorry to hear about the foal. How heartbreaking.

We'll be at a horse show all this weekend and preparing for it has gotten me frazzled some.. When I initially read this post I had to go down to the barn and hug my yearling. Thankful for the blessings I do have in the face ot that misfortune.

Beautiful photos.
