just got my internet connection

not having a connection
as it has forced me to spend more time
working on photography projects

not to mention I bought
a negative/slide scanner
which means it is alot easier
for my to share my film work with yall

I've managed to finally start fiddling around with the DV... yesterday I got the editor working again, and was able to compress them in a useful (i.e. small and playable) way.

The two premier opensource GUI burning tools now have full support for DVD+/- and DVDRW+/- so with luck I'll be able to send off a few DVDs of data you were looking for when you were here.

With luck I'll remember to send off that rebate form so you'll at least have $30 to buy more film... You poor, poor, man... it's a wonder how you manage.

well I have five cameras

Most of the color photos were taken with a Sony CD Mavica 300

The two black and whites at the begining were taking with a Contax 139

And the last 3 sepia-ish ones with an Olympus Camedia C-50

The second is beautiful, and I'm very intrigued by the fourth. I'm very happy to have stumbled across this today (when I should be paying attention to discussions re: water pollution on the US/Mexico border, that just makes it even more enjoyable) as literally my greatest joy in life is the capturing of images, either doing it myself or seeing through other peoples' images what exactly they see of the world. It's a chance to live places I may never live, and to feel like I could touch things I may never have a chance to touch. It's such a window to the soul of the taker, and to the world. I just freakin' love a good picture, and that second one just rocks. I'm probably going to look at that several times over the course of the day, and just try to imagine I'm there. And the beauty of a good picture is that it's just that easy... so, thank you. :)
