Failures of Darwinism

[plural]

today was looking like a good day

I went to french class
spent some time on homework
went out and did some work on a photography project
came home
did some post-production work

chatted with the Saudi girl for a while as I worked,
helped her shop for a house
wished her luck on her driving test tomorrow
[she has never had a license before]
[as women are not allowed to drive in Saudi]

and went to the gym

had a good work out
and headed out to my car
to make a run to the grocery store
before heading home

on the sidewalk
as I was reaching my car
I was accosted by a fellow
who had not gotten over a prior dispute we had

apparently he felt that my head butting him
[after he swung at me]
was a cheap shot
and wanted a rematch

I sighed
head butted him again
got in my car
and drove the grocery store


some people will never learn I suppose

Sometimes I think the world would be a better place if women behaved in the same manner.

Either - most women don't resort to physical retaliation or use strength to assert dominance. Maybe we should; it sounds infinitely more satisfying sometimes.

eh, I think it is pretty childish and stupid myself

personally I have always thought that the need to assert dominance simply proves that a person needs the opinion of others to support their ego, which is hardly dominant in my opinion.

I have no desire to exert dominance over anyone, but I do not really like the idea of being someone elses punching bag either, so I try to find a happy medium
