Thinking out loud

so

I have been working on ideas for the house

and in looking at paint samples and whatnot
the idea of whitewashing the cabinets in the kitchen occured to me.










now generally I am against painting over wood (excluding trim of course)
but I think it might help bring the kitchen back into line with the overall style of the house

I think men have a phobia of painting over wood.

But that's just my two cents.

I wouldnt call it a phobia, I have just seen too many examples of people painting over beautiful hardwood floors or furniture, that the idea as a rule is abhorrent to me.

However in this particular case, a rustic kitchen in a victorian house, just doesnt work

OK, well I see your point. It's kind of an in-joke, anyway. The painting wood phobia thing.
