Thinking out loud

I have been working on ideas for the house

and in looking at paint samples and whatnot
the idea of whitewashing the cabinets in the kitchen occured to me.










now generally I am against painting over wood (excluding trim of course)
but I think it might help bring the kitchen back into line with the overall style of the house


thoughts?

yeah matching the doors would help.

I was actually planning on leaving the walls alone, the red is actually a nice color, its just that the floor, cabinets and walls dont really work together, I was hoping that I could get away with just tweaking the cabinets until I can afford to do a more thorough remodel of the kitchen
