I was talking with an old friend today
and he was pretty upset

apparently he found out yesterday
that the girl he has been dating for the past year or so
have been sleeping with one of his friends on the side
for an indeterminate period of time

he was pretty pissed and talking about kicking the guys ass

I generally try to avoid advocating violence

besides not being entirely sure
that said friend could carry out the threat
as the gentleman in question I also happen to know
and
he isn't the sort of fellow that even a fairly tough kid
from bensonhurst is gonna handle easily

so I tried to help him see things a different way

"you seem more pissed at your friend than your girl"

I say

well he is my buddy, he should be watching my back, not fucking my girl

he replies

ah, see there is the problem
personally I think precisely was watching your back
by
fucking your girl

I mean
he just did you a huge favor

now you know she is just a skanky ho
and can move on with your life

hell
if he hadn't been fucking her
someone else would
and
you probably wouldn't have found out
till after you were married

then you would be fucked

alimony and all that crap

so you should look at this a positive thing
you got rid of a skank cheaply
and
now have a great opportunity to bond with your buddy

I mean

hell

you have practically slept together
without all the homosexual overtones

I mean before this happened
you probably wouldn't have been comfortable
discussing the most intimate details
of your sex life with your buddy

but now

think of the bonding opportunities
and tight friendship that can come from this

being able to hang out with your buddy
drink a beer and share such intimate details

like, for example
