it seems
I am finally managing
to get something of a regular social group
going here

I had a cocktail party
Friday night
which was a roaring success
[of course]

while granted
a bit smaller than my usual affairs
considering how few people
I know here
it was exceedingly well attended

a few photos here
[however I did not take most of them]
[thought I would just pass the camera around]
[and see what people did with it]

I laid out a small spread
with some olives, cheese and crackers
which seemed to impress them
quite a bit

afterwards
the group of us
went out to one of the clubs

and a few of them
even straggled back
for a few drinks to salute
the dawn

it was a good night

and they invited me out
with them last night
which was also a good time

all in all

it is good to be the King
