I had the most wonderful sleep this afternoon

and

just got out of a most divine shower

shortly I will go out for the evening

but first

something occurred to me

I was scrolling through numbers
in my cell phone
making a quick call

when I saw my friends listing

in my mind
it the organizing places
it seemed I should delete it
but
I wasn't ready too

so perhaps later
I don't know

just not sure
how one decides such things

but for now

I will avoid the question
and
go out for a drink
and
some appealing company

Being as how I'm 39 this year, with a second son on the way, I've been avoiding offering any condolences in an effort to deny it is possible.

If it were me, I'd keep the phone number around until the thought didn't put a lump in my throat... But as I've taken to telling my son, I was raised by wolves and am generally an emotional cripple.
