You know

I may have more than most people
it may seem like my resources are indefinite
but
no resources are indefinite

I merely share what is mine indefinitely
with those who I choose to share my life with

Mi Casa es Su Casa

Resources, whether in money, privileges or possessions
are in my opinion wasted if hoarded

even worse
they begin to own you

I was introduced to a woman once
by a friend of mine
in the following way

"Honey, this is ____ , he is one of the smartest guys I have ever met, and he hemorrhages money out of his ass"

while perhaps flattering

it isn't exactly the sort of introduction I would have requested
not to mention it isn't true

unfortunately I do not hemorrhage money out of my ass

I just refuse to let money, or the lack of it
prevent me from living every moment of my life

I am sure some of you will say

"see you have to have money to think that way"

I disagree

you have to be creative and deliberate to think that way

and you have to know how to manage your money

anyway

I invite people into my home
I cook for them
serve them my wine and liquor

is it so much to ask
that they do not steal from me?

quite frankly it just pisses me off

anyway
what prompted this rant
is that I was organizing my DVDs tonight
unpacking and shelving
and
it just seemed like I was short some
so
I went up to my computer and printed out
a copy of the list from the management program I have
and
went down to compare

Sure enough while in NC
people made off with
the following of my DVDs

Dude, Wheres My Car?
Evil Dead
Gia
Lethal Weapon
Meet the Parents
Parenthood
Stripes

[and two of my porns]
[but those don't bother me]
[never really watch em anyway]
[have them more for company]

The worst part I suppose
is that the thief had somewhat decent taste

anyway

I have also updated my dvd collection
which you can view here

My DVD Collection

Mm Dangerous Liasons... one of the most erotic movies..

I know I should not find John Malkovich's character attractive.
But I do, I like his style..

You've a right to be indignant. Although, to be snarky, I'd pay someone to steal those movies from me.

Six Feet Under is brilliant. Especially the first season. It was created by Alan Ball from American Beauty, and you find the same quality of American Beauty. It is the best television I've ever seen... you really won't be sorry.

How about Trainspotting?

Run Lola Run

Also wouldn't hurt to have Gladiator around, sometimes you get the itchin for some good old fashioned Collosium fun.

and finally, a pretty terrible movie that for some reason, the first time I watched, I laughed a lot, second and third time not as much... Whipped.

yeah thats what I have heard about it, supposed to be a pretty spectacular show

I liked trainspotting but didnt find it spectacular, the sort of film I would pick up if I found a good deal.

Run Lola Run is a favorite of mine and on my list to pick up

Gladiator, erm fuck, I really have this horrible thought that I used to have that as well, I just seem to remember watching it a few too many times to have it had been a rental

and never seen whipped either, will add it to the rental list

May I ask where you found that program to list all your DVD's?

I've taken a fancy to it and may want to organize my DVD's this way. This way when I have company they can go through my list if I pull it up on my laptop or main puter, whichever I decide.

Thanks in advance,

DMoose

A nice collection... but spoiled by the fullscreen version of LOTR :P

Either the right one wasn't in profiler, or you went slightly insane when you bought it... (I picked up the 4 disc version of TTT today, and it goes nicely with the 4 disc FOTR)

My profile, but missing about 10 that weren't in profiler when I updated last...
