So you like the Idea and want to help
Nov. 8th, 2000 08:21 amIf you have been reading
you know what I am talking about
If you don't scroll down or
also the last few journal entries of mine have been devoted to clarifying this idea
so reading those will probably be good as well
I need your help
If you live in a state
whose electoral votes went to Bush
call your Secretary of State's Office
and get the list of Republican Electoral Nominees
and send that list to me
If you don't live in a Bush State
call the Secretary of State's office of a state that did
you can get a list of the Disclosure Offices for each state
HERE
which includes phone number information for each office
if you want to be even more helpful
pick up your phonebook
and try to find Addresses and Phone numbers
for the people on that list
and send what you can find to me as well
I will be publishing the information
cataloged by state
on the new website which I will be starting
so that people can call them
and let them know
that we expect the Popular vote
to be upheld by the electoral college
and that we expect them
to cast their vote
for the candidate who won
the national popular vote.
Lets make our voices heard

Re: it's happened before (not with clinton or kennedy though)
Date: 2000-11-08 02:47 pm (UTC)I knew it happened three times
but didnt have the specifics
in each case the courts
upheld the electoral vote
which is why it is so
important that
we get our message out
to the electors
and make sure they hear us
Deb we could use
someone of your intelligence
and sense of civic duty on
our side.
can we count on you?
