Random Musing and general goings on

Saw X2 tonight
mmm twas good

looking forward to seeing Matrix Reloaded on friday
am going to hop up to DC to see it with my little sister
and spend some quality technogeek time with budhaboy
over the weekend

In other news
it seems like a whole lot of people I know
are either pregnant, getting pregnant or just had a kid
every time I turn around I seem to be in a conversation about
womens hormone swings during pregnancy
and
something occured to me
should I get married
and should I decide
against my better judgement
to reproduce
I am going to pack up my wife
and send her to club med
for the duration of the pregnancy

That way
she can have all the massages, pickles and ice cream she desires
and I can retain some vestige of my sanity

not sure exactly, probably sunday or monday, another friend of mine in the area wants me to visit with him for a couple of days so I might stay a little longer, depends how my schedule looks really

keep that up and i'll leave my perfectly good fiance for a man who will pay to keep me at a spa for the 9 months duration of my pregnancy. how can you beat that?

on the other hand... i'm not pregnant, so it'll have to wait awhile. ;)

I always had a dream of waiting out my pregnancy on an island in the carribean, sitting in the shade on a wide veranda of a beautiful house looking out over the hillside toward the sea.

There would be lots of white muslin, brightly colored plaster walls fading in the sun, and a constant breeze blowing gently in from the Ocean.

There I would sit in a basket swing, eating healthy food and gazing at the scenery, reading all the good books I'd brought with me to my island paradise.

Needless to say, this is not, in fact, the way I enjoyed my pregnancy.

The reality...working full time, walking to and from work every day in NYC, puking and dealing with acid reflux, watching NY telephone ads on TV and crying at them.

But if you can afford the hillside house, I'd take that over club med and just hire a masseuse to come in once in a while.
