I loved that movie, had to buy it.

Ice works, or even a very cool iron. Put a plain, white papertowel over the fabric to protect it first, of course.

i second this. i think i heard cheesecloth works instead of a paper towel as well.

If it will stand it, use a warm iron.

Lay paper towel on the fabric and iron it. The heat from the iron will melt the wax and it will be absorbed by the paper towel. I've used this trick several times on carpet.
