College Life and other sundries
so tonight it snowed
we got between three and four inches
which killed my plans for shooting my photography final project tonight
so instead I ventured out
took a few random photos
searched for a place to get something to eat
and headed up to the college for some friendly distractions
on the way and idea was formed
and with the help of a few others
became a plan
in order to simultaneously celebrate and spite the snow
my friend and I prowled the halls
gathering wayward souls
for a run
almost naked
[underwear and shoes were allowed]
circling all the dorms
and in the end
through most of them as well
we started and ended the run
with a series of shots
from the bar I set up in my trunk
the onlookers were most amused
to see a crowd of about twenty men and women
running rampantly through the halls and grounds of the college
hooting and hollering and other such nonsense
other fun and entirely irresponsible activities
included motorized-snow skiing
which seemed to end up primarily as people
being dragged behind a moving vehicle without having enough common sense
to let go of the rope
and "no my car isn't not four wheel drive"
choreographed sliding along deserted streets
not to be forgotten were the parking lot donut contests
[I performed mine in reverse for extra style points]
or in other word general mayhem and irresponsibility
but of course
as with all such behaviours they are best performed
only by true mayhem professionals
and attempts to duplicate such feats
should not be performed at home
as injury may result
[in fact it did in this case]
[although luckily nothing serious]
[but only when I had given up said activity]
[and some amateurs decided to attempt it]
regardless it was fun
in that most juvenile and giddy way
and a good break from the various stresses
of ramping up for finals
and
with that
I am off to bed
so that I can get up in a few hours
and be told that the class I got up for was cancelled
due to weather, exciting isn't it.
