I think the thing
I hate most about small towns
is how early everything closes

what the hell is up with restaurants
closing at 9:30 or 10pm?

on a freaking weekend no less

hell I don't even think
I might want to eat until 9pm
and rarely get around to actually doing anything about it
until later than that

what that means here
is that by the time
I am ready to eat

not a god damn thing worth eating
is
still open

so
either I cook for myself
[which is the only way I actually get]
[decent food around here]
or
I freakin starve

it wouldn't be so bad I suppose
if they even had decent fast food

I could kill for some papaya joes
right about now

but
what I really miss

is Josies

spike that vein
give me an IV with that strawberry lemonade

I will stroll down broadway
happier than a stray cat
behind a chinese restaurant

As for being a "NY Liberal"

I have never really disagreed so much
with what liberals say as much
as become sick at hearing them say it
so freakin poorly

my biggest problem I suppose
with most liberals is not their insistance
that something be improved
but their completely irrational and
irresponsible way of going about it
