plural | (no subject)

i feel about fourteen years old right now

I just had dinner with the folks
I cooked for them

eggplant parmesan over a bed of fresh tomato and angel hair pasta
pan seared garlic walnut asparagus
and a spinach salad
with red onions, kalamata olives and feta cheese

and of course
a sublime '99 bordeaux from the south of france

but none of that
has anything to do with why I feel fourteen

you see the folks had been saying
they could only stay two days
when they decided to stay longer
I was glad to have them
[especially since they are staying in the complex's guest suite]
but informed them that they would have to do
without my company on Thursday night
as I had a date.

so my date scheduled for an hour from now
[the swiss hottie]

I just ushered my parents out the door
so I could prep myself accordingly
and
of course they cant resist
making the required
parental type comments

my father wants to know
if I will be bringing her back to the house
to which I replied with a grin

"well if I do, I will be sure to call and ask permission first"

of course
this is the first time I think
that my parents have ever known about
a date of mine in advance

they asked where we were meeting
and I was smart enough not to answer that one

aight I am off to shower and the like
