For those of you who expressed such concern
I have kept an eye on my kitties
and the half pound of habeneros
didn't seem to phase them a bit

Glad to hear the little fuzzies are okay. Of course, if my brother--at about 6 years old--could survive eating a spoonful of crushed red pepper (I, uh, kinda told him it was bacon bits) without any repurcussions (unless that's the explanation to a lot of things...), then I'm sure they'll be okay.
