(no subject)

[plural]

cats do as cats do
I can understand that
but
not in my bedroom

and I am going to spend
the next ten years
picking up feathers

my cat is pissed at me now
since I not only locked him
out of the bedroom
but
I set his little birdie free
a little terrified
but
alive

it always amazes me
how animal react to me
the bird was calm in my hands
I gave his little head some soothing strokes
and set him down outside
he looked at me
and with a peep
flew off into the night

last night
my companions dog
was the same
she said she had never seen him
warm up to someone that way

when I was a kid at the park
I would pet ducks and geese
on my lap
used to freak out my parents

my cat is acting the psycho now
running around the house
still in full on barbarian hunt mode
I suppose he have forgotten
that he gets fed from a bowl

it amazes me that so many feathers
could come from a bird that small
and have it still be in fairly decent shape

well
off to clean I go

I'm glad the bird was okay. The worst is when the bird isn't dead yet, but obviously isn't going to make it. Ever since I thought one was in good enough shape for me to set it free, but found out I was wrong when the poor thing couldn't get away and was brought back by my cat a couple of hours later, I get horribly bent out of shape over such dilemmas.

Yeah, that sucks so much... but it's hard to convince the cat not to do what seems natural.

A bell can help, or just feed the cat a lot so it's too fat to chase stuff :)
