[*the following has been sanitized to protect the guilty]

but not to me
well at least not
in this particular area of my life

what am I talking about
well someone forwarded me
a sermon given by a Christian Pastor
in which a portion of my life
was used as an anecdote
to illustrate a point
[I was aware in advance that it was being used]

now sermons are on many things
and anecdotes can be used either to
positively or negatively reinforce a point

an example of positive reinforcement would be
Jack did X which is a good thing, so you should do X

an example of negative reinforcement would be
Jack did X which is a bad thing and so you shouldn't do X
[negative reinforcement generally also carries with it]
[some mention of consequence]
[i.e. Jack did X, and that cause Y, you don't want Y do you?]

so I am going to ask you two questions
the first is to choose which of the following
was most likely [to you] the subject of the sermon
and
secondly was the anecdote used as an example of
positive or negative behavior
i.e. this is a good thing, or this is not a good thing

[Poll #67179]

*wicked grin*

[oh and sanitized means I took out identifiable details]

I don't know you well enough to have any real idea, and my actual guess would be that you were positively patient, or something of that sort. That just didn't seem as interesting as the answers I picked.

your answer
while incorrect

was the most probable
in the situation

of course
I probably would not have remarked
on it if that was the case

[after all]
[having reached the pinnacle of sinnerdom]
[that is the vatican's "do not admit list"]
[rather precludes being shocked]
[at another clerics admonitions]

Face it, contrary to what you may believe, you're a good man, plural.

*smirk*
while I do not think
I would go quite that far
I find myself to be somewhat
equal parts of both sides
which is closer to the truth
than any previous position

but
what amuses me here
is the correlation
between the post
and the favoured answers

the favoured subject is lust
which is quite likely a subject
for me to be referenced in
but
the kicker is that
most people felt that it was a
positive reinforcement anecdote

and
I do not think I have ever
done anything
with regard to lust
that a christian pastor
would use as an illustration
about how to live

a bacchial cult leader perhaps
but definately not a christian

*laughs*

oh how I amuse myself
