Sep. 23rd, 2002 05:53 amstill no sign of the kitty
his brother is freaked out
this is the longest they have
ever been apart
he keeps pacing the apartment
meowing for his brother
[I am getting a more than a little worried myself]
spent another hour and a half
walking the perimeter of the complex tonight
no luck obviously
I did however
leave myself four messages on my cell phone
each contained fifteen minutes
of me walking through the bushes
calling for my cat
incidently my cellphone doesnt have a skip to the end of the message
and then choose if you want to delete it option
you can skip it but then it stays there
if you want to delete it you have to listen to the whole thing
I dont think I need to say
what a depressing hour that was
it is one thing to be tromping through mud and bushes
trying to find your cat
it is a whole nother thing
to sit at home and listen to you doing the above
for an hour
unable to do anything
either by finding your cat
or fast forwarding through the damn message
instead you just sit there
with the phone pressed against your ear
listening to yourself
over
and
over
and
over
and
over again
calling out for your cat
it might actually be amusing
if one had found the cat
but
since I didnt
it
wasnt
I posted fliers
with full color photos
at the mailboxes for my apartment complex
and the two complexes on either side
stuck them in the mailboxes of the houses across the street
and
the one business which adjoins the property of my complex
with any luck
someone will have seen him
and will call
didnt think about it until
I was pulling into the parking space
after posting the fliers
but
I should have mentioned a reward
make people more interested
or
something
anyway
I should get some sleep
but I dont feel much like it
think I will cook something
and
read a book

Date: 2002-09-23 06:45 am (UTC)I know the frustration of leaving a cell phone msg for yourself
I managed to do it a few times-
Hell if I know HOW I did it
But, a little kitty story
a friend moved into a new house (in the middle of a densely wooded area)
and 2 of their cats got out (strictly indoor cats too)
It was well over a month- actually almost 2- before the kitties came home.
Shortly after worried Dad went to neighbors and asked them to open garages and sheds
just in case they were trapped inside....
