Its really amazing how perspective effects our lives

Ordeal or Adventure?
its all perspective.

Life has been a wee bit too dramatic for my tastes lately
it seems like almost everyone I know
is having a crisis of some sort

Drama

never had much use for it personally
everyone knows
exactly where they stand with me
if you have any questions
just ask and I will tell you

why do people play mind games with each other?

a dear friend of mine has a relationship
on the rocks
its one of those things
where she feels he doesn't want to
spend time with her
which may be true
I haven't the ability to read his mind
but I don't think so

regardless
she needs a break from life
so this weekend
we will be zipping off to some unknown destination
to drown our concerns in round after round
of cocktails
getting away from it all
so to speak

I am considering
taking a week or so off myself
away from Seattle
from my everyday life
from the net

some relaxation
a chance to think
let the world survive
without my worries
for a short while

I have four or five books which I am reading
perhaps I will just head east to Winthrop
and stay until I have read them all

drinking wine in front of a fire
watch the stars twinkle
walk around a silent house
be undisturbed by humanity

ah well
tis time for this soul
to once more attempt sleep
