Road Trip Update

pluralcurrently in butte mt
using some hokey TV based web thingy
at my hotel, which is a major pain in the ass
[try forcing yourself to type at speeds]
[less than ten words per minute]
in other news
i dumped the uhaul plan while in spokane
hired a moving company to ship my stuff
and am travelling on my Duc now
*big happy grin*
it is very nice
uhauls suck
crossed the entire state of idaho and
much of montana at around 120
[compared to 55 w/the behemoth]
ditched a state trooper
who thought he would pull a u-turn
and sneak up behind me
[i saw him slowing down]
[to turn and I floored it]
[took the second exit]
[and watched him sail by]
happy happy joy joy
next thang, I am hoping to make KCMO
by tomorrow night
which puts me into chicago
saturday night, not ideal at all
but things have taken longer than i thought
i do expect to be able to make up
a good amount of time tommorrow
[well this typing is miserable]
[i will have better access tomorrow morning]
[and will update then]

Date: 2002-08-02 02:58 pm (UTC)As I was mannying one summer with a family of three girls from La Quinta / Palm Springs.. these voice schooled, figure skating, acting, & dance lessoned youth were travelling with me and their "Mom" cross country to meet relatives and the like. Coming out of Yellowstone into the Bighorn Mountains a rancher was moving about 200 head of black angus across the road.. three year old takes fingers out of her mouth and points.. "Look mommy those cows have Gang Writing on them!" [the brands]

just wondering what your work schedule/situation is? [i.e. do you have standard weekends, what sort of hours etc. I am trying to figure out my schedule and knowing a little about your availability would be helpful.]
