bored bored bored ... need to sleep but can´t

I just changed some money for the next phase of my trip.
and got my hands on my first euros
got one question? who was the smart ass who decided to size bills
according to denomination?

and I the only one who thinks this is fucking stupid

look bills should be the same size
so they fit neatly folded into your pocket
and what not

the five euro bill is about the size of two credit cards
while the fifty looks like a rave flyer
I have to wonder if the hundred comes with its own carrying case?

let me start by saying the following:

1. usa currency sucks because its all the same colour and size
2. it smells
3. australian currency is different sizes according to denomination - great idea
4. australian currency is colourful - $5 is pink, $10 is blue, $20 is orange, $50 is mustard *gross ok but still stay with me on this one*, $100 is green - again, another great idea
5. australian currency is plastic. ok so first thoughts are that's crap BUT you can wash it and it doesnt tear or go shitty. it stays flat. its hard to copy unlike paper money.
6. we have $1 and $2 coins and we don't use 1c (pennies) or 2c pieces anymore - everything is 5c rounded. none of that copper shit.


i rest my case :)

oh and yeah. dont be insensitive to the blind!

1) I rather like it that way, encourages literacy
2) hmm, I usually dont sniff my currency but I will take your word for it
3) I despise the idea, but I can accept it as a good idea when considering blind folk, of course if you have plastic currency why not just put it in brail
4) bah humbug, colors are for pansies not money
5) plastic currency rocks, I will give you points there
6) I support removing all coins, rounding everything to the near whole dollar amount. I tend to wear Khakis and linen pants, and change slips out constantly, losing twenty bucks in change annoys the hell out of me.
