my stuff is on the moving truck
my bettie is waiting her transport
and
as soon as my car
finishes getting its oil changed
I will be gone from Greensboro

as much as I cant say
I will miss this place
there are folks here
who I will miss
and
I have never been good at
saying goodbye

it doesnt help when
people cry either

Made it to DC
in record time

driving on vacant highways
straight towards isabel

the other direction
packed with cars fleeing
from their homes

will be here
enjoying the consummate hospitality
of budhaboy and his wife
for the extended weekend.
