I have been a complete slacker recently
so you have my apologies

the bet is going smoothly
in fact at the moment it is rather pointless
cause I am back in a stage where I cant seem to find
a woman that I have any interest in

not that there are any shortage of options
at the moment people seem to be throwing women my way
friends of friends, friends sisters, etc etc
and chicks I was previously interested seem to be shucking their boyfriends
available women abound but none really seem to interest me
mostly I seem to be interested in checking chicks out
but once I know anything about them they don't interest me much

oh and I have a blind date in the near future
although I am not sure exactly when
basically I invited a Argentinean couple
that lives in my complex out for drinks and dinner
and the wife decided she wanted to set me up with this Chilean girl
that apparently also lives in the complex
so she is working out the scheduling and I should hear back sometime soon
should be a fun time regardless of the date part
I really enjoy the people and the culture down there
and any excuse to practice my Spanish doesn't hurt either

I am in the process of registering for classes right now
I am talking digital darkroom, fundamentals of acting
hopefully I can get into the poli-sci class I want
and get the independent photography class I want approved
[its just a one credit class, I only need it so I can get darkroom access]
I am thinking about adding a voice class as well but have to see what my schedule is like

been talking to a lot of people about joining the foreign service
the more I talk about it and hear about it
the more I think it may be something I am interested in
so I am planning on taking the foreign service exam later this spring
and thinking about getting an internship in foggy bottom this summer
to get a better feel for it
I think it could be a good place for me to put my natural talents to use
and get a lot of what I am looking for out of it
and since I don't have to rely on government salaries to live
it could be a good fit

hey petra wanna give me some feedback on the FSO Exam?

in other news
I have been enjoying a pretty typical college type experience
have a decent group of friends and something resembling a social life
the parents are in India for a month or two doing something
thinking of heading up to DC in a couple of weeks
to see my little sister and some of you good folks

but life is good
it snowed a few inches tonight
that soft powdery snow that packs beautifully for snowballs
it was fun

I need a haircut
well not really but I have little patience
for anything but closely cropped hair these days

and as usual

it is good to be the king
