a most interesting evening

I had a delight conversation
with an amazing woman
for almost four hours

then met a couple of people
from one of my classes
and went bowling

my mind was distracted
which seemed to improve my bowling
just being relaxed and not thinking about it

it just so happened
there was a woman I knew
with her husband and some friends
in the lane next to me

I recognized her face
and she greeted me
but
I could not place her

could not figure out where
I knew her from

this drives me crazy

you see I have a near photographical memory
and I recognize people
who I met once years before
and most times can even place
when and where

so not knowing
was annoying me

I figured it out eventually
she lives in my complex
and we had chatted once briefly
when my MAC card didnt work
and she was letting me into the building
to do laundry

and now I am tired
and
think I am gonna head to bed

I just had little quirks
about my life
my person
which nobody else
seemed to share

it is all little stuff
by itself meaningless

various thoughts
whims

peculiarities with relationships

sensitivities to things

memory quirks

a variety of stuff

not really special
that was a joke
but
just merely peculiar

well
in my recent conversations with someone
we have noticed a disturbingly high
amount of similarities in
those little quirks

it is rather uncanny

and
yes
that means that there is someone else
out there
like me

be very afraid

Advice from one who has failed to follow it

Men,

It is important to find a woman who works around the house,
cooks,and who has a job.

It is important to find a woman who makes you laugh.

It is important to find a woman who is dependable and doesn't lie.

It is important to find a woman who's good in bed
and who loves to have sex with you.

which strikes me as rather odd
in each case it has been at their suggestion
so I just agreed seeing as
I do not know a better place

the last time I was there
the waitress was giving me sly smiles

of course that could be
cause she knows I tip well
but somehow I do not think that is it

I think I am going to make a point
of sitting in a different booth
next week

cause somehow
it is just getting a little peculiar
to repeat the same evening
with different females
over and over

planning out a shoot
for my photography class

this assignment is on contrast
both visual and conceptual contrast

I have an idea which I rather like
but am not sure if I can bring it about

it has a variety of things
some technical some just logistical
in nature
which I have to resolve

so my idea for the first shoot is this
[there are two shoot per assignment]

a vertically split background
half white/half black

on the white side
man in a tux
he is barefoot
he is facing the camera
standing with his hand in his pocket
and his head is looking forward and to his left
and his shadow stretches back and towards the dividing line in the background

on the black side
naked woman
wearing black formal heels
facing away from the camera
hands on hips
her head is looking back and to her left
a light "shadow" stretches back and towards the dividing line

I want them looking at each other
but not quite making eye contact
and to have their "shadows"
to be almost meet in the background

technical issues
[or things that could be done with photoshop if I was allowed to turn in digital work]

I would prefer a sloped white background
for the white side, the kind studios have to eliminate shadows
so that I could use a hot light to direct his shadow exactly as I want it

on the black side, I need to use another hotlight
to create a lighted area that resembles a shadow from her
but obviously would not be
that is going to have to be a pretty damn bright light

If I can find a studio space to rent
that might be able to resolve both problems

next the models
I may have the male model
and someone in my photography class
volunteered to ask some of her friends
so that might turn up something
otherwise I am gonna have to either
hire a model
or
seduce the swiss chick and convince her to do it

hmm back to brainstorming....
