Another damn personality test
Aug. 20th, 2001 02:52 pmthis is long
and probably uninteresting
to yall
but
while I dont agree
with everything
there were too many places
I had to chuckle
and cede the point.
I have tried to
edit it for readability
as
but have attempted
to maintain the
integrity of the
content

Hungry For Power
Simply stated,
you want your own way.
If you have been raised
in environments where
you were able to manipulate
your parents and siblings,
you become difficult to manage
as you get older.
when you have gotten your way for too long,
you find it almost impossible
to relinquish your power and freedom
when you meet authorities in society
[teachers, bosses,]
[police, clergy,]
[military officers]
who refuse to grant you
the total control you demand.
You Want To Be Productive
you like to work - in school,
in your careers, and in your relationships.
Others just shouldn't expect you
to attach the same importance
to things other people care about -
like other people's schooling,
careers, and marriages.
But give you a reason to produce,
and watch you take off.
you like to get the job done.
you are often a workaholic.
you will, however,
resist being forced to do anything
that doesn't interest you.
You Want To Look Good To Others
you need to appear knowledgeable.
you crave approval from others
for your intelligence and insight.
you want to be respected
even more than you want to be loved.
you want to be admired
for your logical,
practical mind.
to communicate with you
one should be precise and factual.
you are unmotivated by tears
and other displays of "weakness."
You Shouldn't Be Taken Too Seriously
you are often just stating the facts
as you see them,
despite your antagonistic demeanor.
you seldom say "in my opinion"
before stating your opinions.
I have seen too many people
become greatly concerned over issues
raised by you,
only to discover later
that the you were simply interested
in debating.
you enjoy a good power play.
But once someone
gets emotionally involved
arguing issues,
they may be disappointed
and frustrated
to find that
you are no longer interested.
You Seek Leadership Opportunities
Despite the rigidity of the military,
many of you select it as a career
in order to experience leadership.
you are often called "control freaks."
you like to be in the drivers seat.
as a child,
you were often frustrated in school
because teachers won't let you take charge.
If you can get the upper hand,
you will.
you are willing to pay any price
for an opportunity to lead.
