too damn early ... or ... Paging Dr. Freud

I had a weird dream last night

I dreamt

I left my job at ms
for a job at
a company
which I had previously
worked for a very short time
only
in real life
it doesn't exist

but in the dream
I had worked there before

in the beginning,
I was talking with
them about the opportunity
and then
my current boss
quit ms
and joined this company
so I
did as well

not sure why
I guess I figured
it must be the
right move

in the dream
the company
a dot.com-ish company
was located across the
street from a
strip club with
a Yiddish-ish name
there was this
Israeli guy I knew
waiting out front
for it to open
so he could get a job
there

only
I don't know
that Israeli guy
in real life
nor the
strip club
for that matter

I remember
eating
chocolate covered cookies
you know the white ones
that are half covered with chocolate
and drinking
coke
which
in life
I never do
unless it has bourbon in it

my managers's boss
at ms
came to visit me
on the third day

and was pissed off
said that I
fucked him
by taking off like that
said that he tried to cover for me
said that I had gone to get married
and
the developers had
worked over
my office real
good with decorations

but it was too late now
I seemed to realize
at that time
that I had made a
mistake
and
tried to change my mind
but he said it was
too late

after he left
I realized
that since I
left
I had to pay back
my signing bonus
that ms gave me

I realized that
I had not even asked
what my new salary
would be
nor negotiated anything

it was just after 5
and the HR person
was playing quake
or something
I asked her
to look something up
for me in my file
so I could see

but my file was empty

just worn and battered
folder
with
my name

so I went
and
had a coke

last night

Amber and I
took my
two nephews
to see

Spy Kids

it was

fantabulous

really

I enjoyed it

afterwards
we took them
grocery shopping
we
bought

bread
jelly (running low)
peanut butter (already had a full thing)
two apples (the red and yellow kind)
Apple Juice
Strawberry Ice Cream (my favorite)
Vanilla Ice Cream
Two boneless chicken breasts
assortment of pre sliced stir fry veggies (packages laziness)
Flour tortilla
Colby Jack cheese (made from real babies)

we got home
made the boys
sliced apples
one nephew
ate a peanut butter sandwich
crusts cut off
and cut into triangles
the other
didn't want pb&j
so
I made him
morningstar breakfast patties
served with a slice
of single serving cheese

my mom came
to pick them up
and we
sent them
home
with ice cream
in
plastic bowls

all in all
it was nice
although
they are
quite a handful

I like being an uncle
though

it was
10:30
when they left
and
I felt like
I hadnt had a moment
to relax

watched some tv
smoked quite a few
cigarettes
in an effort to
accelerate
the relaxation
and
was forcibly
tucked into bed
so I could
wake up
at this ungodly hour

oh
and
in case you didnt know

I despise
popcorn
with a passion
but
am forced to
compulsively eat it
when
ever it is
present

like last night
