hmm in keeping with the general season
Nov. 7th, 2000 02:36 amAny seattlites out there
I have a couple of idears
for initiatives
that would
actually be simple
and do some good
1) Kill sound transit (or at least the non regional commuter part)
its bloated and ineffective
and they probably wont even be able to
make it to the Udistrict
as things go now
2) Kill the plans for the new city hall - make all capital expenditure be subjected to a public vote
time the mayor and city hall learn, they need to take care of our needs before new toys
3) Create an income tax on people who work in Seattle and live elsewhere
they use our roads and facilities and don't pay the property taxes to pay for them
there is a precedent for this
NYC has a city income tax
I would just recommend
a credit to those
who actually live here
would love
to hear your thoughts
