the man smiled
he knew the risks
knew that he was bring a fool
and happier
for it.
pouring
a short glass
of scotch
watching the ice
clink
clink
slide slowly in circles
round the glass
the liquor
was older
and wiser
than he
but he thought
nothing of it
"Why does the sun,
go on shining?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know,
its the ends of the world.
it ended when you said Good Bye"
he knew the risks
knew that he was bring a fool
and happier
for it.

watching the ice

this actually has nothing to do with yer poem
:)
Re: this actually has nothing to do with yer poem
ok well thanks
I believe, in my foggy recollection
that I located you off
my friend angelicdestiny's page
and apparently found something of interest
which in revisiting
I found again
welcome

i sung that song at kareoke last nite..
how many times i have nodded along with that song in agreement..
Re:
it happened to start playing today
its rather amazing
put 7000 mp3 on one playlist
use the shuffle feature
and three things happen
1) WinAmp crashes alot
2) you skip songs alot
3) out of the blue a song comes on
when you had forgotten in your mind that the music was even playing, and speaks to your mood
I love the slow mournfulness of that song
