I was in the water sporting with little imps ( you should see all the three/four year old boys I have in my classes.. god it would be such fun to shepherd them thoughtfully into manhood..)

Tuesday night when the president first spoke he should have used it as an opportunity to tell us he had already bombed the known training camps and worked to remove the Taliban from power..
He should have used the moral authority of instant outrage to accomplish this - not because we had evidence they were the perpetrators, but because it was the right thing to do..
THEN, and only then, after we had bared our teeth and shown the strength of our fist.. should we have engaged in the last week of rhetoric and discussions about finding-seeking-bringing to justice the truth.
By Waiting, the Weasel Gee Dubya, has allowed sentiment to build among the neighbors (Packistan in particular) and he may very well succeed in bringing on a major war.
On a secondary note - I am most ashamed of myself.. My continuing, not directly founded, prejudices in life.. a prejudice against Islam (for how they treat women) and a prejudice against the French as a people (from rudeness to unshaved armpits) continue.
I feel MORE justified in having and holding onto these prejudices.
