Life could be worse

[plural]

A joyous ride
on a beautiful day
on a beautiful bike
returning to work
which isn't so beautiful
from a delightful lunch
with a beautiful lass

in fact
it was
such a beautiful day
I sent the maid home early

but anyway
that
wasn't what
I came here to tell you

I returned to the office
to find
an earnest looking fellow
manning an espresso cart
in
my
office

not my office building
nor the floor which my office is on

but
inside
my
actual office

I shrugged
ordered
a
raspberry
Italian soda
(no cream of course)
selected a
peanut butter
cookie
a most yummy one
in fact

and returned
to my daily
course of work.

well, that is intriguing. did you perchance inquire why he was in your office? did he leave after your order, or stay in your office serving other customers? (or just stand about uselessly, wondering why there wasn't more traffic through your office, should that be the case)

I have learned
over the years
to just enjoy
the good thing that
come along
and not waste time
questioning them

and yes he was
using my office
as a base of operations
to
serve whomever passed by

and
with the exception
of the occasional
gymnastic feat necessary
to leave for the restroom
it was
hardly an
inconvience
