A grand night in

well
tonight we
are staying in
together
and
in preparation
we vent
grocery schupping
ve purchased
a delightful cut of beef
two ears of vibrant white corn
two bolstering baker's potatoes
a hand full of delicate mushrooms
a gleaming red onion
a tasty vinaigrette
fruit infused water
lots of tasty sesame treats
butter
yummy glass bottle milk
pineapple juice (cause I am sensitive to my love)
chocolate creme filled oreos
cause it was the answer
to a lifetime of her prayers
and
tonight
I am to
cook for us
a feast
albeit a
simple one
To begin
we shall eat
a fresh and
invigorating
spinach salad
with red onion
feta cheese crumbles
and
mushrooms
the main course
Bourbon marinated steak
served with
baked potato and
roasted white corn
and for
dessert
sorbet for me
and most likely
chocolate creme filled oreos for her
or
anything else her little heart
desires
I have yet to decide
which wine I will serve
I am leaning towards
a 1997 Jacob's Creek Cab
it is an old vine cab
and rather oaken
but I haven't come
to a final decision
so
with that my friends
I will whisk
myself away
to cook and love
for and of
my darling
