In my imagination I have all these things, and more. Not to mention my own private island, a palace in Corfu, and the list goes on.
I cant say I had much in the way of friends, real or imaginary as a young child, quite frankly the older I get the more I like children and hate adults. Where as in my youth I despised children and lusted after adults.
I have only myself to blame for the lack of childhood I experienced, from my first sentient moment, I realized the inherent weakness and useless of children, and strove from that point on to be one no longer.
In reflection, the degree to which we are fools doesn't change during our lives, only the context of our lunacy changes.
As I age, I find far more relevance and importance in such imaginary constructs, perhaps it is merely the degradation of my mind on the path to insanity.
My imagination dreams up my ideals,
My ideals become my ambitions,
My ambitions draft my goals.
My goals, over time and with work, become my reality...
Sub note: Supersmash has been sending me off on delightful tangents all day, so if you aren't already reading his journal, you should be...
